Windows 7 or Windows 8?

    Do you like Windows 8.1? It is better and more stable than 8. Boots faster too. I agree if you dont take 8.1 into account 7 is the most stable OS but after moving to Windows 7 about 4 years ago I will not go back to XP especially since its gonna die anyway this April.

    Windows 8.1 is very good, its an improved version of 8 that I got used to and liked :)

    Windows 8.1 doesn't have "Hibernate" button.

    You have to enable it from System settings Welson.
    Go to start, run and then type [ or Win+R] powercfg.cpl
    Inside it enable Hibernate option and it will become available to use.

    Presently have win 7 and 8.1 dual boot, I mostly use 8.1 it is a huge improvement over 7 and 8, right clicking on start button give one faster access to important features in win 8.1 eg cmd/powershell, network,system etc.left click on file explorer faster access to folders and drive,Still dont understand the big complain about 8.1 as far as i am concern 8.1 is the best of both worlds .

    using windows 8.1....... no problem as of yet and i like it more than windows 7

    I tried both on two laptops. Never upgraded to windows 10. Windows 7 is much better.
