While browsing Distrowatch I came across the innovative distribution which is known as ReactOS. ReactOS is made in Russia and is based on the Windows NT design philosophy and aims to be binary compatible with Windows NT. What this simply means is that React OS can use the normal Windows applications and drivers. I do not know to what extent the software's will run and how well it will perform. I am also unsure whether it is perfectly legal to do so. Do not ReactOS although featured in Distrowatch, is neither Linux nor Unix based but is completely written from scratch.
Also note it is in alpha and is undergoing heavy testing so it is not to be used in a live environment.

    Here is the project link:-

This is really interesting so I am waiting for your comments. If it really works and they get Aero I am ready to quit Windows 7, lol.

React OS is undergoing some heavy development and currently looks almost likes the Windows XP classic theme.
The R Shell seems interesting, and its going great. They have also received funding from their Kickstarter campaign.

I am waiting for a stable release. Seems the developer will also add a search bar in the start menu.
