I am running Windows 7 currently, I will try and post though. Just taking a system backup before messing it up.

When it comes to me I haven't noticed any problem with MBAM v2 on Windows 7 x86 so far. It works very well :)

Never had any issue with any software or game on Windows 7 x64.

It's because I've only 2GB RAM on my laptop and x86 version is better than x64 in this case. I'd had for a while W7 x64 on this configuration and there were some issues that were cut out after changing to x86 :)

Re: RE: Malwarebytes V2.0 is now out.

I have 1GB RAM on my backup PC and still use x64 on it.
What were the issues you faced ?

akiratoriyama, it was pretty long time ago and I don't remember all the issues but among others there were system freez that happened pretty often. I heard that I might happen because of RAM consumption. After changing to x86 version it stops completaly. Who knows - maybe the problem was on another side. Anyway now I'm glad with that ;)

Back to Topic, I will make a 32bit vs 64bit thread to discuss these things in. Getting too out of topic now.

We’re very excited to announce the first public beta for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1!

This release consists primarily of a number of user interface enhancements, so we’re anxious to get this build in your hands to see what you think.

We want to hear your feedback—good and bad. Simply create a new topic in this forum to post your feedback.

Please note that this this is NOT a final Release Candidate – this is the first beta and we definitely plan to continue addressing issues throughout the upcoming beta period.

    What’s new:

    • Brand new UI design! Much cleaner look with a toned-down color scheme.
    • Improved scan flow – all scans now automatically check for and apply the latest database updates so you're always scanning with the latest protection. (Exception: this will not occur if you have the option to “check for updates before scanning” disabled.)
    • You’ll automatically be prompted to download new program updates for the beta whenever they’re available. You can check back to this thread for details on the latest changes included in the new versions.
    • Simplified Quarantine flow – threats detected are pre-selected for removal and users are presented with a single “Remove Selected” button. Clicking “Remove Selected” quarantines all checked items. If you uncheck any threats you will see a new dialog asking what action should be taken on the unselected items: Ignore Once, Ignore Always, Cancel.
    • Improved malware protection capabilities, including enhanced rootkit detection and removal.
    • The Minimize button now minimizes the main program window to the taskbar instead of the tray.
    • Addressed numerous issues with Scheduled Scans, including showing the correct date for “Next schedule scan” on the dashboard.
    Known issues:

    • The What’s New / Release Notes included in the installer have not yet been updated and are showing old items from the 2.0.3 release.
    • Text strings new to 2.1 have not yet been translated. (This will be happening over the next several weeks.)
    • The tables throughout the UI will be updated for consistency and improved behavior prior to release.
    • The informational module shown during scan (and on Scan Results page for Free and Trial) includes several links that are not yet active.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.1.1010 Beta 2
I wanted to let you all know that we'll be pushing out a program update to Beta 2, which will be Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.1.1010. (This will only be available through the update to start...we'll provide the full download later.)

We are testing a new update and throttling procedure, so this update will be metered out rather slowly to start. This means that not everyone on 2.1.0.1009 will see a program update notification on this immediately. So you may have to be patient. [IMG] We will open it up to the full beta population just as soon as we can after we're done analyzing the throttling process and everything is working as expected.

Here's what's changed in this version:
    • To improve usability, the "Remove Selected" button will now read “Next” instead on the Scan Results screen if all detected items are unchecked.
    • Fixed an issue with protection starting correctly during an update from 2.0.4 to 2.1.
    • Added back the text that had been inadvertently dropped from the Add and Edit Schedule dialogs regarding the possible variance in scheduled updates start times.
    • Minor text updates for consistency.
    • Slightly reduced the font size used on left-hand Settings tabs for improved design.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.2.1016 Release Candidate 1
We’re very excited to announce that the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1 Release Candidate 1 is now available! We released MBAM 2.1.2.1016 as another update for our current Beta 1 and Beta 2 users only. We are still testing out the new update process, so for the time being you must have an earlier beta installed to receive this latest version.
This release consists primarily of a number of user interface enhancements, so we’re anxious to get this build in your hands to see what you think. J

We want to hear your feedback—good and bad. Simply create a new topic in this forum to post your feedback. (please do not reply to this post)

    Improvements:

    • Brand new UI design! Much cleaner look with a toned-down color scheme.
    • Improved scan flow – all scans now automatically check for and apply the latest database updates so you're always scanning with the latest protection. (Exception: this will not occur with Scheduled Scans if you have the option to “check for updates before scanning” disabled.)

    • Improved malware protection capabilities, including enhanced rootkit detection and removal.
    • The Minimize button now minimizes the main program window to the taskbar instead of the tray.
    • The default display timeout for notifications was changed to 3 seconds instead of 7 seconds
    • The default value for "Show notification after successful update" is now set to "Off" for all scheduled updates
    • Removed the informational message from the main dashboard view
    • Remove support for Thai language due to quality issues with the translation
    • Installation of a Consumer/Home version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware over a Business version is now blocked
    Issues Fixed:
    • Admin users should no longer see a prompt to login as admin to perform a program upgrade
    • Fixed issue where the web protection service (MWAC) was not restarting properly
    • Fixed numerous issues with scheduled scans, including showing the correct date for “Next scheduled scan” on the dashboard
    • Fixed issue where mbamscheduler was starting on boot when Malwarebytes Anti-Malware was set not to start with Windows
    • Fixed issue where any non-English language selected during installation would not be applied after installation
    • Fixed issue where Malwarebytes Anti-Malware did not always automatically update the database on installation
    • Fixed an issue where the “Delay Protection at startup for 15 seconds” setting showed as enabled, but was actually disabled. (We recommend reviewing this option to ensure it is configured as you intended.)
    • Fixed issue where "Error Code 6" displayed at the end of scans
    • Fixed issue on Windows XP where scheduled scans on reboot would not start if the "Enable self-protection module" was checked
    • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware now honors self-protection settings detected from a previous installation
    • Fixed issue where context menu scan was not honoring user selection under detection and protection setting
    • Several issues with notifications were fixed
    • Several enhancements were made to the user interface to address accessibility issues
    • Several UI and user experience enhancements implemented
    Known Issues:
    • Text strings new to 2.1 have not yet been translated. (This will be happening over the next several weeks.)
    • The tables throughout the UI will be updated for consistency and improved behavior prior to release.
    • The informational module shown during scan (and on Scan Results page for Free and Trial) includes several links that are not yet active.
    • Tables, tray notifications and other items in the UI may not be read correctly by screen readers
    What's New since Beta 2:
    • Fixed the scan hang that some users reported
    • Windows XP users with admin privileges should no longer get the "Run as" prompt to install an MBAM update
    • Reduced the width of the UI for some languages where it was way too wide (Note: there is a known issue where the UI size gets stuck and does not always “snap” back to the default size when you switch back to English, even if you try to manually resize. The fix for this is to Exit MBAM by right-clicking, choosing Exit and then re-launch the program.)
    • Final Change log has been updated and is now included in the installer
    • Tables throughout the program have been improved for better usability
    • The majority of updated translations are now included – thank you to all our community volunteers for your help with this!
    • Minor copy edits
The original preview build, MBAM 2.1.0.1009, can be downloaded by clicking here should you wish to receive the latest release via update when available.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.x Release Candidate 3 is now available: v. 2.1.4.1018

Those who are using earlier beta or RC versions should see an update notice soon. These updates will again be staggered, but on a quicker basis than previous beta refreshes.

If you prefer, you may download the full installer directly from this link.

This version is a fairly minor refresh: the only changes were some edits to some of the strings for some of our translations.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.6

    Issues Fixed:

    · Fixed crash during Heuristic Analysis phase when scanning

    · Fixed SDK database load errors by making a change to temporarily ignore the “Check for updates before scanning” setting for Scheduled Scans

    · Fixed crash when editing or removing an Access Policy if the name and description fields in the policy were different

    · Fixed issue where the “Restart computer when required for threat removal” setting did not appear correctly on Add or Edit Schedule dialogs

    · Updated end user license agreement

    Known Issues:
    · The fix for the SDK database load error issue referenced above is not a permanent fix, but rather a work-around as we continue to investigated these errors. As soon as we have a more permanent solution we plan to roll back the work-around and again honor the “Check for updates before scanning” setting. We should hopefully have this ready for our next release, which will be coming soon.

    · If you continue to see these errors after installing 2.1.6, then please reduce the overall number of scheduled scans and updates you have set up. If you stick with the default daily Threat Scan and one scheduled Update Check every couple hours, then you should be fine.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium 2.2.1_March 18, 2016

    Improvements:

    • Context Menu scanning option is now enabled by default. Note if you had this option disabled previously and want to retain that setting, you must disable again manually this one time only. Future updates will retain the setting properly
    • Improved renewal experience for those who purchased in retail store so that the original license key is retained post-renewal instead of requiring that a new key be entered and activated
    • Improved End of Trial experience so it is clear that trial has expired and real-time protection is no longer available
    • Added additional license checks to ensure subscription details are updated as quickly as possible after a renewal is processed
    • Updated company and product logos with new logo
    • For Premium subscription licenses, removed Renew button from My Account screen to avoid confusion over license term

    Issues Fixed:

    • Fixed security vulnerability to ensure database updates are downloaded over SSL connections only
    • Fixed crash that occurred if Dell Backup and Recovery software was installed on same system
    • Fixed issue where scheduled scan did not honor weekly recurrence properly
    • Fixed issue where license expiration notices were incorrectly displaying multiple times in rapid succession
    • Fixed issue where the Scheduler would continue to run in certain cases after a trial had expired
    • Fixed issue where the update progress bar on the Dashboard would appear to hang and would never complete
    • Several improvements to Chameleon self-protection
