    Comodo Cloud Antivirus v1.10.412605.476 Final
    Improved:
    - Improved system performance, at par or better than CIS

    Changes:
    - Default exclusion of recycle-bin folder path has been removed from AV exclusion. You can always add it if you want it.
    - When we release update for this version later this week, you will see "Release Notes" link in program update offer dialog box taking you to:
    https://www.comodo.com/ccav/down ... /release_notes.html

    Fixes:
    - In case you had Sandbox setting set to "Ask for untrusted applications" and you execute a malware that is quarantined by user, you could still get Sandbox alert after that.
    - GUI issue fixes: at times some of alerts could have buttons that could be half visible.
    - In case Internet connection is unavailable, upon system re-start CCAV could consume high CPU

    Comodo Internet Security v10.0.1.6223 Released
We are releasing v6223, which is mainly focused to fix recently reported bugs out of last major release v6209.

    Fixes:
1 - Comodo Security Agent could not be started
2 - Comodo Application shortcuts could not be deleted, renamed or moved.
3 - IP4 and IP6 entry names could be distorted.
4 - Some of Windows XP PCs could not download updates.
5 - Cygwin fails at post-install scripts and apps like Dash, Bash become unresponsive / consume abnormal CPU usage.
6 - In Containment settings, checkbox 'Do not show privilege elevation alert' was selected after clean install, it should have been de-selected by default.
7 - Some users reported that Windows firewall was disabled even though they installed Comodo Antivirus rather Comodo Firewall
8 - File Lookup Service(FLS) could fail in some cases.
9 - Trusted vendor list could see reduced list of entries for CIS versions older than v10 in last major update.

    New:
“Pseudo File Downloaders” file group has been updated with additional entries for: *\cmd.exe | *.bat | *.cmd for enhanced security. This file group is referenced in 3rd "Run Virtually" rule set.

    New:

    1. Crash Reporting: Comodo Cloud Antivirus will detect crash of one of it's applications and offer user to upload crash and other diagnostic data by showing dialog as shown in enclosed snap Crash_Reporting.png

    2. Improved Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUA) Detection: We have created a back-end infrastructure that is analyzing domains in the wild and able to classify some of domains as PUA domains, which are short lived and mainly generate PUA files. You will see such detection via that cloud driven heuristic as shown in enclosed snap: PUA_Detection.png

    3. Controlling Network Activity of Sandboxed Applications: As a first towards providing some form of network control over applications running in Sandbox, we have introduced following two check boxes under Sandbox settings:
    - Block incoming connections to Sandboxed applications
    - Block outgoing connections from Sandboxed applications

These are disabled by default and best suited for Advanced users at the moment:
    Limitations:
Above options are confined to TCP traffic only and thus focusing on controlling data oriented network traffic only.
So other protocols like UDP/ICMP, are still allowed.
In next sprints, based on feedback, we will be aiming:
    - To cover all protocols
    - Allowing applications based exclusions
    - Creating Advanced installation option where user can change these defaults

This is without introducing network Firewall and still letting Advanced users control to some extent network activities of Sandboxed applications.
Aim has been to keep things light and still provide a degree of control.

4- Copy any shortcuts created by Sandboxed applications to my desktop: This check box is present under Sandbox settings. This feature has been enabled by default. Now you have a control over this and can de-select if you don't want that default behavior.

    Fixes:

5 - "Ask for Unknown Applications" setting in Sandbox was not working as expected in Windows 10 Creators update, as had been reported in below post:
    https://forums.comodo.com/bug-repor...-doesnt-properly-sandbox-files-t118954.0.html

    Improvements:

6 - Sandbox alert layout has been changed as per following wishlist item, thanks BlueTesta:
    https://forums.comodo.com/waiting-a...e-safe-option-at-sandbox-alert-t116513.0.html

7 - Jump to Folder: When you see file path listing, this option was not available in some of places e.g. "Being Analyzed" section, now you should see it across all places.

    Comodo Cloud Antivirus 1.13.424807.562 Final
    New
    1. Manual Updater:
Now we have manual updater. It is available from two places:
    - Main screen has a button: Check for Updates
    - Menu shown from Help icon has additional option: Check for Updates

    2. Proxy Settings:
Under "Settings --> General Settings --> Updates", now there is a link to "Proxy and Host Settings". Like CIS, you will be able to configure proxy for all communication now.

    3. Exclusion List for Network Traffic for Apps Running in Sandbox:
Under "Settings --> Sandbox --> Sandbox Settings" section you have a new check box allowing user to define exception list of applications running in Sandbox that can still communicate over TCP if network related options are disabled. So now you should be able to define exclusions e.g. for browsers running in Sandbox. Requested here and also desired since network control over sandbox apps was requested.

    4. Feedback:
We have a feedback icon on main screen, earlier it used to launch URL to Comodo forums. Now user will be able to send a feedback to Comodo and will also be able to go to CCAV section of forums.

    5. Internet Security Essentials(ISE) Installation optional:
Earlier ISE used to be installed by default in case you had not installed ISE in the past. Going forward, in case ISE is not currently installed in system, you will be offered ISE during installation and can opt-out.

    6. Online EULA:
It's a small change, during installation or update, if you click on EULA, latest EULA will be tried to be downloaded from server.

    7. Release Notes link:
In About dialog, now you have Release notes link.

    Changes
Edge browser support in Sandbox is dropped at the moment. There are technical limitations due to design of Edge. We will continue to explore possibilities further.

Comodo Internet Security v10.0.1.6294 (Hotfix) Released
    Fix:
    - We have been reviewing Windows preview builds and came across crash in Edge browser in one of Insider Preview builds as pointed here. These changes in Windows 10 could go into RS3 release, which could happen any time mid September, 2017 onwards.
    - Crash in Excel in certain scenarios as reported here. Public Bug ID #2278

    Changes:
    - If CIS is updated, it will also update Internet Security Essentials(ISE) to latest v94 in case installed in system.

Just wanted to share this for those who want to install/use Comodo firewall without the AV component. As of this writing the stable version Build 6294 does not permit the opt-out to the AV component you will have to turn it off in the interface settings or install Comodo firewall via the online installer.

So I tried to install CI Premium (free version) on a Win 10 RS2 partition keeping in mind to just untick the AV component after installation because there isn't an "opt out". I mean to use just the firewall and the HIPS component/Containment.

Last communication with Umesh of Comodo is that they are still working out an installer with that "opt-out" to the AV component. I have requested Mr. Melih that they consider the offline installer again for the firewall-only and the date was pegged at Oct 17, 2017. I still need to get back to them on that.

Anyway, I did install it but at a later time I decided to uninstall it.

During the uninstall there was this pop-up that asked me to either, change, repair or uninstall. Curious I chose "change". And there it was..an option to change the install. Check boxes are there to install the AV component and the firewall.

So I unticked the box corresponding to AV component ---Install Comodo Antivirus (Recommended) and after a restart all I have is the firewall, HIPS, containment. No AV component here!

Well it isn't the latest (I used CIS ver10.0.1.6258) but I was surprised as to what I have discovered. So now I am tinkering again with Comodo firewalll + HIPS. Two days later I updated to Build 6294 using the same method. Used the CIS Premium installer (offline) and untick/uncheck the box for --Install Comodo Antivirus (Recommended)

    See images below.
